Hi, I'm Josephine
I enjoy creating websites and digital experiences that are thoughtful, functional, and visually engaging.
Where it all began
Looking back, I realise my passion for entrepreneurship started long before I knew it.
Growing up in Sweden, I spent a lot of time with my grandparents. My grandfather built a successful business from the ground up, and I loved visiting his company. I used to wander through the workshop and climb into the big trucks parked outside. Even today, I can still remember the sound of the fax machines, the smell of the workshop, and everyone gathering for fika, a Swedish coffee break, over coffee and cinnamon buns.
My grandfather never really retired. He loved what he did and continued working for as long as he could. Seeing that kind of passion for your work has always inspired me, and it’s something I’ve always wanted to create for myself.

The journey to Pixel Mondays
Before moving to Canada, I earned a Master’s degree in International Marketing in Sweden. After having children, I wanted more flexibility in my work, which led me to freelance as a subtitle and English–Swedish translator. During those years, I discovered that I really enjoyed working independently and building something of my own.
That eventually led me to start my own businesses. I launched Seriously Bamboo, an eco-friendly lifestyle brand, and later co-founded The Make Shoppe, a handmade skincare business. I worked on everything from branding and websites to social media, marketing, product development, and the day-to-day running of the businesses.
Over time, I found myself increasingly drawn to the websites and creative side of the businesses. That interest eventually led me to study Web Design, where I developed my skills in UX/UI, Figma, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web development.
Pixel Mondays is where all of those experiences come together — design, marketing, technology, and the perspective of having run small businesses myself.
